It all started five years back, in the small town of Kasaragod in Kerala. Today, Foradian Technologies have come a long way, adding several stars on its shoulders. Right from winning various accolades for its flagship product, Fedena, a multi-purpose school and campus management system, Foradian has traveled a path that was never full of roses. Adding one more star to its list of achievements, Foradian is happy to announce that it has raised $2 million of funding from Mr. William Bissell, MD, Fabindia.
The funding is surely a blessing for Foradian, for its planning to utilise the fund to enhance Fedena, adding more features and opening up new channels for the product on the global platform. As Mr. Unni Korth, CEO of Foradian says, “Adoption of
Fedena in educational institutions has grown explosively over the last few years. This funding will allow us to expand our team, improve the product further and scale for future growth. It will also give a fillip to our vision of building an
ecosystem around Fedena. William will be an invaluable addition to the board as we target to be a billion dollar company by the year 2020.”
Fedena’s wide presence is evident in the global market with more than 40,000 schools and colleges utilising the benefits of the award winning software in over 100 countries all over the world. The open source version of the software has been downloaded more than 65000 times till date.
‘The Fabindia School’, patronised by William Bissell has already been using the software and its amazing features. About the investment and Fedena, Mr. Bissell, an enthusiast in the education sector himself, shares his opinion, “Educational institutions are increasingly becoming complex organisations.Fedena is a useful solution that helps integrate all the administrative functions of a school into a single, easy to use software. Fedena also has a unique business model that facilitates usage among elite institutes on the one hand and non-profit organisations, NGO’s and Government Institutions on the other. I see Fedena bringing about a similar revolution in schools and colleges as Tally has in the financial world.”
The journey has just started. A long way to go. Foradian is all set with zeal and confidence to reach its mission, to attain excellence in education technologies.
